Vernon Wood, Executive DirectorVernon 1

It is with deep regret that the Board of Directors of IQAA confirm the tragic passing of the Executive Director, Vernon Wood, on Saturday 17 February 2018. Vernon and his wife Betty Ann were enjoying a training session on their tandem in preparation for the Argus Cycle Tour, when Vernon suffered a massive heart attack

Vernon was a most respected educationist in both the state and independent sectors of South Africa. Whether in the realm of school leadership, strategic planning or mentoring Vernon made an invaluable contribution and he will be sorely missed by all who worked with or for him. In his relatively short tenure as Executive Director, Vernon made a huge impact on the work of IQAA in our country.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very sad time.
