Vernon Wood, Executive DirectorVernon 1

After matriculating at Wynberg Boys’, Vernon graduated from UCT and began his teaching career at Queens College in the Eastern Cape before moving back to Cape Town and teaching at Muizenberg High. Vernon has attended a number of conferences of the International Conference of Principals (ICP) and of the International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC), including convening one of their conferences.

Vernon is married to Betty-Ann who runs her own play school for 2 to 4 year olds. They have 3 adult children, none of whom teach, but they all live in Cape Town. Their shared passions centre around family, church and watching the Stormers, but Betty-Ann’s personal passion is her garden and Vernon’s is his garage where he has a love-hate relationship with his welding machine.
