Passing of Sandile Ndaba - ISASA Representative to the IQAA Board

All who knew Sandile were deeply saddened and shocked to learn of his tragic and untimely passing on 19 September, 2015, after falling victim to an extremely debilitating bout of pneumonia.

Sandile’s passing is a monumental loss to the work of IQAA; his prodigious commitment and invaluable contribution to the work of the Agency and the independent schooling sector of Southern Africa will be sorely missed.

More so, however, is the loss to colleagues and friends of a highly respected and visionary educationist. All who had the privilege of working alongside him were inspired by his astute intellect and exemplary professionalism.

In expressing their loss, fellow Board members describe Sandile as a man:

…of great integrity and intellect.

…who brought quiet and considered wisdom to the question under discussion.

…whose impeccable integrity is hard to find in a world where hidden agendas abound.

…who one could call at any time for assistance.

…whose contribution you stopped and listened to carefully.

…whose passing leaves education in this country weaker for his loss.

All associated with IQAA wish to express our most sincere condolences to Sandile’s family. Please be assured that our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you at this most traumatic time.
